Our Story
Founded in 2021, Mandic was created by combining tradition, innovation and a strong commitment to beekeeping.
Mandic is a family-owned company specialized in the development and production of high-quality protein feed for honey bees.
From the very beginning, our mission has been clear: to help beekeepers strengthen their colonies through nutritional solutions tailored to the real needs of honey bees.
How It All Began
The project began after a visit to Alltech, a U.S. company specialized in yeast production and biotechnology solutions.
During that visit, an innovative nutritional system was introduced that helped reduce colony losses through targeted bee nutrition.
Bees have always been part of our family's environment. They play an essential role in pollinating our cherry orchards. That is why we decided to bring this concept to Spain and adapt it to the needs of local beekeeping.
Trial, Error and Learning
The early stages were not easy.
The product was developed through continuous testing, experimentation and multiple formulation improvements. Despite the challenges, perseverance and confidence in the project kept us moving forward.
The turning point came through our collaboration with experienced beekeeper Santiago Cordero (Abejapi), whose expertise led to significant improvements in our formulations.
His knowledge helped us achieve the performance expected by professional beekeepers.
A Startup Born in a Garage
After months of testing, we developed a protein feed designed to meet the real nutritional needs of bee colonies during periods of natural pollen shortage.
That is how Proteall was born..
The first production batches were made like a true startup: in a home garage, using our own investment to purchase the necessary equipment.
It marked the beginning of a project that steadily continued to grow.
From a Family Project to a Growing Company
Through dedication and steady growth, Mandic evolved from humble beginnings into a company with professional facilities that meet all legal requirements.
This allows us to manufacture with full quality assurance while meeting the growing demand of the beekeeping industry.
